We started life as a collective of tenants from Hackney in London. We began to realise that by working together and sharing information we became more powerful and better able to withstand the pressures that are being imposed on us by our landlord. Now working with Network Rail tenants from across the country, we are growing a powerful organisation that can stand up for the small businesses that occupy the arches in our cities and towns.
In the coming weeks and months we will work with all the small businesses to join us to build a democratic and inclusive tenants association that can take effective and strategic action with locally rooted tenants and for the communities that they serve.
We would be nothing without the hard work of all the tenants and supporters already involved so a big thank you to everyone who is giving their time and skills. We are also indebted to the East End Trades Guild and the New Economics Foundation who are supporting us in our noble endeavour.
